and send a photo of the lock's serial number.
This helps to confirm that you have the lock in your possession.
In some cases, you may also be asked for additional documents, such as proof of purchase.
Once we reset the lock in our system, you'll be able to add it to your account in the Danalock app.
Firmware
The firmware on your Danalock V3 is the software that allows the lock to communicate with the system. Keeping the firmware up to date is important, as each update includes improvements and ensures the lock continues to function properly. What should I do if my lock shows a solid purple light?
If your Danalock V3 and phone are interrupted during the firmware update, your lock can get stuck in DFU mode. You can identify the issue if the lock shows a solid purple light*. If the lock is stuck in DFU mode, you need to run a manual firmware update in the Danalock Toolbox app.
*If you have a Danalock V3 HomeKit version that hasn't been updated with the dual-mode firmware, the lock will show a solid red light (instead of purple). If your HomeKit lock is stuck in update mode, you'll need to run a manual firmware update using the nRF app.
You might need to run the update several times before the lock starts working again.

You can check and release it by following these steps:
Remove one of the batteries.
Press the pinhole button several times to check if it clicks and reacts as expected. This can also release it if the button was stuck.
