Calibración

Before you can start using your Danalock V3, you need to calibrate it to set the lock and unlock positions.

Calibration method

From March 2024 the calibration methods are as described in this section.

The methods include a 4 and 5-point calibration, giving your lock a more accurate calibration.

4 and 5-point calibration

Whether you need to run a 4-point or 5-point calibration depends on if you have the Hold Back Latch feature enabled.

You should enable the Hold Back Latch feature if:

• Your lock case has a retractable latch (for example, when turning the thumb turn also pulls the latch back).

When this feature is enabled, the calibration requires one extra step—making it a 5-point calibration.

If your lock case has a retractable latch, you need to enable the 'Hold back latch' feature

If your lock case doesn't have a retractable latch, and you don't have the Hold Back Latch feature enabled, you run a 4-point calibration.

Calibration in the Danalock app

We recommend running the calibration through the Danalock app.

This process is called a semi-automatic calibration.

We advise that you calibrate your lock during the enrollment process.

That way, your lock is ready for use the moment it's added to your Danalock account.

Manual calibration

If you have a Latch lock:

• A lockcase that locks automatically when the door closes, without needing to turn the key.

We recommend running a manual calibration.

Manual calibration ensures the lock knows the exact points for locking and unlocking.

This is required for Latch locks, since they need precise positioning to work properly.
