Euro profile cylinders

Installing the Danalock V3 on a door with a Euro profile cylinder, can be done by replacing the cylinder with a Danalock compatible cylinder (recommended) or by installing the Danalock V3 on top of the Danalock Key Turner adapter.

The Danalock V3 currently has two cylinders to choose from.

Always ensure that a physical key or alternate entry method is available in case of a Danalock hardware malfunction.

After installing the Euro cylinder and Danalock hardware, follow our app guide to continue the setup of your Danalock V3.

3 Check tailpiece length

Continue to step 5 if there is no tailpiece installed.

Check your existing tailpiece. Most doors have tailpieces that extend 10 mm from the doorplate and will not require any length adjustment. An extra tailpiece has been supplied in case the tailpiece is less than 10 mm long.

Danalock V3 works with a tailpiece length of up to 35 mm. If the length exceeds 35 mm you will have to shorten it. Don't go shorter than 10 mm.

4 If tailpiece is too short

If the tailpiece is less than 10 mm long, remove the plate that holds the tailpiece and replace it with the tailpiece from the Danalock box.

Shorten the new tailpiece after installing the mountingplate. (See illustration in step 7).

5 Installing a tailpiece on an Assa 2000 lock setup

If the installation is done on an Assa 2000, install the provided tailpiece kit that came with the Danalock V3 Scandi package.

Shorten the new tailpiece after installing the mountingplate. (See illustration in step 7).

6 Mountingplate installation

Place the mountingplate where the thumb turn or key cylinder used to be on your door. The round hole in the middle of the plate is for the tailpiece.

Use the two screws that originally held the thumb turn to attach the back plate, or use the ones supplied in the Scandi kit that came with the Danalock V3 Scandi. Adjust the length if needed.

7 Ensure tailpiece length

Other known supported cylinders

The Danalock V3 can also, but not limited to, be installed on the following cylinders:

Key Turner Adapter

The alternative option to replacing your lock cylinder is to be using the Salto Danalock Key Turner Adapters.

Installation requires adapting one of your existing keys (cutting and shaping).

We recommend using this option only with double-clutched cylinders, which allow a key to be used from both sides independently and at the same time. If your cylinder is not double-clutched, please ensure you have an alternative way to enter your building in case the Danalock cannot be operated.

The Key Turner Adapter comes in the following versions:

  1. Euro profile version
  2. Swiss profile version
  3. Chilean profile version
