How to use NET.Lock lockers in Salto KS

Can I open and manage lockers using the Salto KS app?

Yes, Salto KS has integrated with NET.Lock from Gantner, a Salto group company. When the integration is enabled for your site, you can manage and access smart lockers through the Salto KS web app, Salto KS mobile app, and Salto KS Keychain app.

Users can access Gantner locker locks in two ways:

• Using remote opening from the Salto KS or Salto KS Keychain mobile apps.
• Using a Salto tag.

This combines the convenience of Salto KS access control with a modern smart locker solution.

What locker management modes are available in Salto KS?

Salto KS supports two locker management modes:

Personal mode

In Personal Mode, a user must be assigned to a locker before they can use it. Site Admins can assign users to lockers from the Salto KS web app. It goes as follows:

• Multiple users can be assigned to the same locker.
• Only assigned users can access the locker.
• Assigned users can unlock and lock the locker as often as needed.
• The locker becomes available to others only after it is unassigned from the previous user by a Site Admin.

Dynamic mode

In Dynamic Mode, users can occupy any available locker. It goes as follows:

• Once occupied, the locker is assigned only to that user.
• The user can access the locker as often as needed.
• The locker remains assigned until it is released.
• The locker will only become available again once it is released by the user through the Salto KS mobile app or Salto KS Keychain app, or by a Site Admin through the Salto KS web app.

What does "Release Locker" mean?

In Dynamic Mode, selecting Release Locker removes the locker assignment and makes the locker available for another user. A locker must be released before it can be occupied by someone else.

Lockers can be released by:

• The assigned user through the Salto KS mobile app or Salto KS Keychain mobile app.
• A Site Admin through the Salto KS web app.

What should I do if the locker doesn't close?

When you occupy a locker using the Salto KS mobile app or Salto KS Keychain app, the locker indicator light will blink green, indicating that the locker is ready to be closed.

Push the locker door firmly until it is fully closed. When the light changes to red, the locker has been successfully secured shut.

If you are using a Salto tag, close the locker door and present the tag to the locker. The indicator light will turn red to confirm that the locker is closed and secured.
