XS4 Com Integration with Salto KS
These FAQs pertain to the XS4 Com page of the Salto KS web app.
What is the XS4 Com integration in Salto KS?
Salto XS4 Com is a video intercom solution that integrates seamlessly with Salto's access control platforms, including Salto KS, for secure visitor remote access management. When integrated with Salto KS, residents can remotely open enabled Salto KS locks on their site through their XS4 Com Mobile App.
To integrate with XS4 Com, the XS4 Com installer must set up the integration with a Salto KS site. Once the integration is set up and the locks have been selected for the XS4 Com entrance, Salto KS Site Admins and Site Owners can oversee this integration in the Salto KS Web App under the Site section on the page titled XS4 Com.
During the integration setup, Site Admins and Owners of existing Salto KS sites must grant Installer Access in their webapp by navigating to this page under Site so that installers can access their site.

XS4 Com is a Salto KS Pro feature and can be customized with additional seats to meet your site's requirements. Contact your installer to inquire about your subscription plan.
How can I activate or disable the integration?
Once the Salto KS Pro subscription voucher is redeemed by a Salto KS Site Owner or Admin, the XS4 Com feature is activated.
If XS4 Com is activated on your site, when you navigate to the XS4 Com page in your Salto KS webapp, you will see a red button in the top panel: Disable XS4 Com. To turn off the integration, click this button. Disabling the integration will cease XS4 Com in your site, meaning it is no longer possible to remotely unlock doors via the XS4 Com residents' Mobile App. The digital phonebook is also no longer accessible.
If you change your mind, you will see the button Re-enable XS4 Com, which you can click to re-enable the integration and make it possible to unlock doors remotely on your site.
What information is available on the XS4 Com page of the Salto KS webapp?
On the XS4 Com page, under the Site section of your Salto KS app, you will see two tabs: XS4 Com Enabled Locks and Entries.
If you click on XS4 Com Enabled Locks, you will see an overview of the locks currently in use by XS4 Com on your Salto KS site and the corresponding lock names.
When you click Entries, you will see all the relevant information about remote openings performed on your site.
