Entries notifications in Salto KS

What are entries notifications?

Entries notifications are notifications that Site Owners and Site Admins can set and receive for entries (authorized events) and rejections (unauthorized events) of selected users on selected doors within their desired timeframe. The notifications can be sent via push notifications on the Salto KS mobile app and/or via email.

To set these notifications, navigate to the Entries tab under the Notifications page. Here, click on the Create Notification button where you can follow these steps:

  1. Name your notification
  2. Choose a notification type between Rejection and Entry events
  3. Choose a notification type (push notification or email)
  4. Select the people
  5. Select the locks
  6. Define the timeframe for notifications to be triggered
  7. Review your notification details and click Create to confirm

What are entries and rejections?

Entries are events in which authorized openings have taken place. You may choose to set and receive entry notifications for all authorized openings of selected people on chosen locks within specific timeframes.

Rejections are events in which unauthorized opening attempts have taken place. You may choose to set and receive rejection notifications for all unauthorized opening attempts of selected people on chosen locks within specific timeframes.

Entries and rejections events apply to openings with digital key, remote opening, PIN, and tags.

How can I manage my entries notifications?

Entries notifications remain disabled by default and must be manually set up by a Site Owner or Site Admin who wishes to subscribe to them. You can manage notifications on your Entries page, where you can overview the notifications and rules you have created. You can edit or delete these rules by clicking on the three-dot action menu to the right.

How can I receive my entries or rejections notifications?

You can choose to receive notifications via push notifications in the Salto KS mobile app and/or via email.

Even if you have configured your notifications in the Salto KS web app, you can receive those notifications in your Salto KS mobile app. Log in to your mobile app account and ensure you have notifications enabled. Please note that Site Owners and Site Admins require iOS and Android version 8.16 and higher to receive these push notifications.
