Extender devices for the IQ3 gateway are now available for use in Homelok. An extender is a device like a repeater or a node which allows the distance between a gateway and an electronic lock to be increased.

An extender must always be connected to a parent device like a gateway or another extender. A gateway can be a parent device to a maximum of 6 extenders. Only the IQ3 gateway is supported currently. The IQ3 Mini does not support connections with extenders. Repeaters are not currently supported in Homelok.
