FAQs for visitors
How does XS4 Com iGO streamline a visitor's visit?
XS4 Com streamlines your entry process, allowing you to effortlessly initiate contact with your host through a simple scan or tap of your smartphone. This convenience eliminates waiting times and ensures you're instantly connected, for a smoother and more welcoming experience.
What does a visitor need to do to call a resident via XS4 Com iGO?
To video call a resident using XS4 Com, scan the QR code on the XS4 Com plate with your phone's camera or tap your phone on the NFC tag. The XS4 Com plate is most often located at the main entrance to the building you're trying to access. This action will display a phonebook, from which you can select the resident you wish to video call.
If you're a first-time visitor, you'll need to grant audio and video permissions on your device in order to complete the call.
Are there any specific requirements for a visitor's phone to make a call using XS4 Com iGO?
A working camera and enabled QR code scanning are required. Your phone should also have location services switched on for proximity verification if the geofencing technology is enabled. NFC support is necessary if you prefer to use tap access.
What should a visitor expect regarding camera and microphone access when using the XS4 Com iGO QR code?
When a guest scans the QR code on the XS4 Com plate for the first time, their experience may vary based on their browser's permission settings:
- Automatic access: If the browser allows access to the camera and microphone automatically, the guest can proceed with the call flow after selecting the unit to call.
- Permission request: If the browser asks for permission, the guest must grant access to the camera and microphone. Once granted, the call flow will proceed as normal.
- Access denied: If the browser denies access by default, the call will not proceed. In this case, the guest will see a notification that the call cannot be completed without these permissions. The guest can enable camera and microphone access by adjusting their browser settings. This typically involves going to the browser's settings, finding the permissions section, and enabling access for the XS4 Com application.
What happens in case of weak internet connection during a call?
In the unfortunate case of poor connectivity, XS4 Com will try to re-establish the call and display a warning message. If unsuccessful for a longer period of time, the call may drop.
