App guide for the Danapad V3
Before adding your Danapad to your account in the Danalock app, make sure your Danalock V3 is already added to your account. You can find a step-by-step guide for adding the Danalock V3 on the apps page under the Danalock V3 section.
How to add the Danapad in the Danalock app
- You can add your Danapad in the Danalock app by going to Menu > Add new device.
- The app will scan for available devices and display them by serial number.
- Locate your Danapad's serial number inside the battery cover. You can find a guide on how to locate the serial number on the General information page.
- Press on the serial number of the Danapad.
- During the adding process, the firmware on the Danapad will be updated and you will be able to name the Danapad.
How to pair the Danapad with the lock
- In the last step of the adding process, you will be able to pair the Danapad with the lock connected to your account.

- When you press Confirm, you can choose which lock you want to pair with the Danapad.

If you press Skip during the pairing process, you can pair the Danapad with a lock later by going to Danapad settings.

- After adding the Danapad to your Danalock account, you can access its settings by going to Devices and selecting the Danapad.
Go to 'Devices' and choose the Danapad to view the settings
In Settings you will be able to see the details of the Danapad, which firmware version is currently installed and update the firmware. You can find more information about firmware and how to update on the General information page.
You can also see which lock the Danapad is paired with and unpair it if needed. If the Danapad isn't paired with any lock, you'll have the option to pair it.

If you want to be able to lock the Danalock V3 without having to enter the PIN code, you can enable Easy lock. By enabling Easy lock, you can lock the Danalock V3 by pressing the Keychain button on the Danapad.
If you want to remove your Danapad from your account, you can press Delete device.
Important: If your Danapad is paired with a Danalock V3, we recommend unpairing it from the lock before removing the Danapad from your account. If it isn't unpaired first, it can cause issues if you later wants to pair the Danapad with another lock.
How to create PIN codes
When your Danapad is paired with your Danalock V3, you can create PIN codes:
- Press the # icon in the Keychain.
You can add a new PIN code by pressing the # icon in the keychain
- Press the small green circle to create a new PIN code.

Before you can create a new PIN code, you need to choose if the PIN code should be Permanent or Scheduled.
Permanent PIN code
The new PIN code is by default set to Permanent.
If you want to create a permanent PIN code:
- Enter a name for the PIN and type in the code.
The PIN code must contain between 4 and 10 digits.
You need to choose if the PIN code should be 'Permanent' or 'Scheduled'
- Once you have named the PIN and entered the code, you can press Create and the PIN will be active.
Scheduled PIN code
If you want the PIN code to be restricted to specific days or hours, you can choose Scheduled.
When you create a Scheduled PIN code, you need to:
- Name the PIN and enter a code.
- Then you need to select the time period during which the PIN code should be valid.
- You also need to choose the weekdays, the PIN should be active and define the daily start and end time.
If you create a 'Scheduled' PIN code, you need to choose date and time for when the PIN is valid
- Once you have selected the timeperiod, days and start and end time, you can press Create.
The PIN code will be valid, when the timeperiod begins.
View PIN code
You will be able to view the existing PIN codes in the PIN settings.
- If you press on the arrow in the left side of the PIN code, you will be able to view the PIN code and copy it into a text or email.
If you press the small arrow in the right side of the PIN code box, you will be able to see the details
If it's a Scheduled PIN code, indicated with a clock icon, you can see the details of when the PIN code is valid.
You will be able to see the PIN code and if you have a 'Scheduled' code, you will see the exact timeperiod it's valid
Disable PIN codes
If you are going on Holiday or for other reasons wants to disable all PIN codes, you can do this by:
- Swiping the small button in the top-right corner.

Important: If you disable PIN codes, all PIN codes will be invalid until you enable them.
Delete PIN codes
You can delete a PIN code by:
- Swiping the box with the PIN code to the left.
You need to confirm that you want to delete the PIN code
- You need to confirm the action before the PIN code will be deleted.
