How do I add tags to my Salto KS site?
To add new tags to your site, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your account as site owner or site admin
- Click on Site then tags
- Click on + Add tags to add new tags to your site
- In the next pop-up box, select any of the locks added to your site to use as card reader for the tags you want to add and click Start
From the moment you click Start, you have 120 seconds to 'read' the tags you would like to add to your site. You can read a tag by holding the tag in front of the lock you have selected. The lock will blink red and the tag will be registered to your site.
The added tags will be visible on this screen as soon as the lock you have selected has successfully read them. The newly added tags are now available and ready to be assigned to users. This can be done on the People page of your app.
Tip: A tag that has already been added to another site will not show up as a newly added tag. Tags can only be added once and are always owned by one site. However, a user on multiple sites can use the same tag for all the sites.
I am the site owner and I lost my tag, How can I activate my new tag as the safety tag?
Since site owners have special privileges, it is important to make sure immediate action is taken!
Site owners can change their tag in case the user is the site owner of the site on which the tag was registered originally and there are unused tags on that site. In that case, the user should go to the Web App and select the above-mentioned site, then find the user in the People page and edit the tag from the User Details page.
My tag (or other credential) doesn't work, What could be the issue?
Please check if the user is added to the correct access group to which the lock belongs and that the current time falls within any of the configured time restrictions. Feel free to contact Salto Systems Support for more guidance if the access is not propagated properly after several minutes.
