Introducing the XS4 Face Enrollment service, a seamless way to register your facial ID as an access credential for Salto's advanced access control platforms. This service allows you to upload a picture of yourself that can be used for face recognition. You are invited to use the enrollment service when your details are entered into an Access Control System, such as Salto Space, by an operator on site.
What is the XS4 Face Enrollment Service?
The XS4 Face Enrollment Service is the sequence of steps you must follow when registering your face ID as an access credential to one of Salto's access control platforms.
How does it work?
The integration with the face recognition solution, XS4 Face, enables access control platforms by Salto to offer face recognition as an access credential.
When the operator of a site selects Face Recognition for a user, they receive a notification via email containing a link. By tapping on the link, they get redirected to a web-based application where the XS4 Face Enrollment service starts.
This application is designed to work with most modern phones and tablets, but can also be used on desktop devices with a connected USB camera.
The steps on the screen instruct you on how to capture your facial likeness in the best and clearest way possible, according to a set of parameters such as framing and lighting.
XS4 Face is GDPR compliant, to reassure all stakeholders that their data is protected. This is enabled through explicit user consent via the XS4 Face Enrollment service, which includes the ability to remove consent at any time via your enrollment profile, plus alternative access means provided for those who do not wish to consent.
