Introducción

Los gateways son dispositivos de hardware destinados a un uso conjunto con cerraduras electrónicas que requieren conexión online. Los gateways se conectan a cilindros y escudos electrónicos, lo que hace que estas cerraduras offline se conviertan en dispositivos conectados. Esto permite funcionalidades como la autoasignación de pulseras, llaveros y tarjetas, así como el seguimiento de la actividad dentro de tu instalación.

Gateways used in Salto Nebula

The IQ is the link between Nebula and the wireless electronic locks. This gateway acts as a bridge transferring information to and from the devices behind it to the software. Proporciona actualizaciones a las cerraduras e información en tiempo real, como el estado de la batería y la actividad. The IQ is configured using the Salto Nebula app with a Bluetooth connection and the device connects to Nebula via an internet connection.

Cómo crear gateways

You can create gateways in Nebula via Nebula web or using the Nebula app during the configuration process. If you create gateways via Nebula web, they still need to be configured using the app.

No matter whether you create gateways via the web or app, it's recommended that you create parent devices such as gateways before you create the online electronic locks that lie beneath them.

To create a gateway go to Devices > Create and select Gateway from the Type drop-down menu. Introduce un nombre para tu gateway. Nombra a los gateways de forma coherente para facilitar su búsqueda en el sistema.

Once you've created a gateway you can then assign it as the parent device for the online electronic locks that are managed via that gateway. For more information on how to do this see the create access points section.
