App-less pairing

If you pair the Danalock and Danapad without the Danalock app, you can't add them to the app afterwards. They will only work with a Smart Home hub that supports both Danalock and PIN code management.

The Z-Wave and Zigbee versions of the Danalock can be used directly with supported Smart hubs and gateways as a standalone setup.

This means you can use the lock without the Danalock app. You can add the Zigbee or Z-Wave lock directly to your Smart Home hub (if the hub supports it).

If you also want to include a Danapad, you'll need to add it using app-less pairing mode.

The app-less pairing must be completed before adding the lock to your Smart Home hub. If you do it afterwards, the lock will lose its connection to the hub and you'll have to set it up again.

Note: Any existing PIN codes on the lock will be deleted when you use app-less pairing. You'll need to set them up again through your Smart Home hub.

How to pair Danalock and Danapad without the app

Place the Danalock and Danapad close to each other (about 30—50 cm).
Insert a paperclip into the small pinhole on the top of the Danapad and press 7 times. The LED will start flashing red and green.
Press and hold the unlock button on the Danapad for 5—8 seconds. The LED will flash red and green.
Press 1 on the Danapad. The flashing on both devices will slow down and then stop, confirming the pairing.

If the devices don't enter app-less pairing mode, make sure both have the latest firmware installed.

How to remove app-less pairing

Insert a paperclip into the small pinhole on the top of the Danalock and press 7 times. The LED will start flashing red and green.
Press and hold the unlock button on the Danapad for 5—8 seconds until the LED flash red and green.
Press 2 on the Danapad. The flashing on both devices will slow down and then stop.
The pairing between the Danalock and Danapad has now been removed.
