Daily management
Viewing visitor details
To view and manage visitor details, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Visitors tab on the left-hand sidebar.
- Select Daily Management from the dropdown menu.
- Use the filters at the top of the page to specify the status, timespan, visitor type, location, and environment.
- Review the visitor list, which shows status, name, contact details, arrival, departure, identifier status, host name, monitoring level, special requests, security questions, helix, environment, and location.
- Select the visitor's profile using the Edit button to access detailed information.
Filtering visitor records
Use the available filters to locate specific visitors:
- Status: Choose the visitor status you want to view (for example, To verify).
- Timespan: Select the relevant timespan (for example, Today).
- Visitor Type: Pick the visitor type you need to review.
- Location: Filter by location if you need to focus on a specific site.
- Environment: Choose the appropriate environment from the dropdown list.
- Search: Enter a name or other detail in the search bar to locate a visitor.
Creating a visitor
Create a new visitor by completing these steps:
- Select Visitors from the main navigation panel.
- Choose Create from the dropdown menu.
- Fill in the required fields, including the visitor's name, contact information, and other relevant data.
- Click Create Visitor to save the new visitor's information.
Inviting a visitor
Send a visitor invitation with the following steps:
- Navigate to the Visitors tab on the left-hand sidebar.
- Select Invite from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the visitor's name, email address, and other required details.
- Specify the date and time of the visit.
- Click Invite to send the email invitation.
Assigning an identifier
Assign access identifiers to a visitor so they can open doors:
- Navigate to Visitors > Daily Management.
- Locate the visitor and click the Edit button.
- Open the Visitor Access tab.
- If the visitor is not yet checked in, click Check in on the upper-right side.
- Choose the encoder you want to assign.
- Click Activate identifier.
- Confirm the visitor's identifier status in Visitors > Daily Management.
- Block or remove the identifier at any time during the visit if needed.
- After the visitor checks out, the identifier is automatically disabled.
Assigning a mobile key (JustIN Mobile)
Provide a mobile key so visitors can access the building with the JustIN Mobile app:
- Navigate to Visitors > Daily Management.
- Locate the visitor and click the Edit button.
- In the Visitor Information tab, make sure the visitor has a phone number assigned.
- Confirm that the visitor downloaded the Salto JustIN Mobile app and registered using that phone number.
- Go to the Visitor Access tab.
- If the visitor is not yet checked in, click Check in on the upper-right side.
- Choose JustIN Mobile as the mobile app type.
- Click Assign Mobile Key.
- Verify that the mobile key status changes to Pending activation.
- The visitor receives a notification on their mobile device indicating that a new key is available.
- The visitor opens the JustIN Mobile app and confirms the new key.
- Verify that the mobile key status updates to Active.
- Check the visitor's identifier status in Visitors > Daily Management.
- Remove the mobile key at any time during the visit if necessary.
- After the visitor checks out, the mobile key is automatically disabled.
Handling identifier issues
Follow these steps when visitors have identifier issues:
- In Daily Management, locate visitors whose identifier status is No identifier.
- Contact the visitor or their host to verify and update the identifier information.
- Update the identifier status in the system once the correct information is provided.
Handling visitor data
Exporting visitor data
Export visitor data by following these steps:
- Navigate to the Visitors tab and choose Daily Management.
- Click the export icon at the top right of the visitor list.
- Select the export format you want to generate (for example, CSV or Excel).
Viewing detailed visitor logs
Review detailed visitor activity logs as follows:
- Click the Monitor tab on the left-hand sidebar.
- Select Visitor Logs.
- Use the filters to narrow the logs by time, visitor type, location, and other criteria.
- Review the logs to see visitor activity, including entry and exit times.
