Preparation
Minimum server requirements
- Operating System: Windows Server 2016 or later
- Processor: 2.4 GHz 64-bit or more
- RAM: 8 GB or more
- Disk space: 80 GB or more
- Internet access (at least during setup)
Minimum client requirements
- Operating System: Windows 10 Pro or later
- Processor: 2.0 GHz 64-bit or more (2.4 GHz when a document scanner is attached)
- RAM: 4 GB or more (8 GB when a document scanner is attached)
- Disk space: 20 GB or more
- Internet or Local Network access
Software requirements
- Chromium browser (use the latest Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox browser)
- Windows features (added by the installer)
- Minimum SQL Server 2016 with Management Studio (link to download page available in the installer)
- Optional: Let's Encrypt (automated SSL certification)
Functional prerequisites
- Decide where to host the database for the Salto IDM application. This can be done either locally on the application server or remotely (for example, a database cluster).
- Ensure administrator access to the installation server where Salto IDM will be hosted.
- Verify connectivity to the Salto Space server where SHIP is licensed and configured.
- Decide on the domain for SSL certification of the website (for example, *.saltoidm.com).
- Arrange for your website name to be added to the Domain Name Server.
- Make sure your fixed public IP address is known and bound to the website name.
- Arrange the necessary firewall rules to allow traffic from and to your Salto IDM application:
- HTTP(S) - TCP 443
- SALTO SHIP - TCP xxxx (depending on SALTO Space SHIP settings)
- SMTP - TCP 587
- Let's Encrypt - TCP 443 (allow acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org)
