# Introduction to Salto Nebula Hospitality for managers

Salto Nebula Hospitality is a cloud-based access control platform intended for use in the hospitality sector.

This section of the user guide is aimed at managers (hotel managers, front desk staff, or owners) of an {{< glossary_term "installation" >}}installation{{< /glossary_term >}} - another word for your hotel, or hospitality establishment - and describes features of the Nebula Hospitality web application.

It's expected that as a manager you would manage your hotel or hospitality property primarily using the web application.

This guide will help you to understand the basic functionality of the Nebula Hospitality platform, with the assumption that you have some knowledge of Salto hardware and the company's terminology.
For the purposes of this guide, Nebula Hospitality web refers to the web-based application, while Nebula Hospitality app refers to the mobile app available to guests for their {{< glossary_term "digital_key" >}}digital keys{{< /glossary_term >}}.

This guide does not provide underlying information on how each individual piece of equipment works.

## Nebula Hospitality web {#nebula-hospitality-web}

There's no need to install any software to use Nebula Hospitality web and you access the application via a standard web browser.
Nebula Hospitality web supports the latest versions of all major browsers.

## Nebula Hospitality app {{% label type="beta" %}} {#nebula-hospitality-app}

The Nebula Hospitality app is the mobile app guests use to unlock doors with their {{< glossary_term "digital_key" >}}digital keys{{< /glossary_term >}}.
It is available on both iOS and Android devices.

As a manager, you may not need to use the Nebula Hospitality app yourself, unless you have a key assigned to you.
The app is intended not only for guests but also for all users of your establishment, like staff members or maintenance teams.
If you are an installer configuring Salto hardware, you use the separate {{< glossary_term "salto_nebula_app" >}}Nebula app{{< /glossary_term >}} for device configuration.
